Born in Tibet in 1963, the Venerable Chamtrul Rinpoche Lobsang Gyatso is a highly trained teacher of Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, recognised as the 3rd reincarnation of Chamtrul Pema Nangsel Dorje. Trained by many masters of different Tibetan Buddhist traditions, his main root teacher was His Holiness Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche from the Nyingmapa School of Tibetan Buddhism. After many years of rigorous studies, Chamtrul Rinpoche was awarded the degree of khenpo ( equivalent of Doctor in Buddhist Philosophy). In 1999, he settled in Dharamsala, Northern India where he teaches at the Bodhicitta Dharma Centre, close to His Holiness 14th Dalai Lama.
Chamtrul Rinpoche dedicates his life to help people find inner peace, giving teachings wherever they are needed. He has been teaching for 20 years to thousands of monks and lay people, and at numerous Buddhist institutes in India and around the world . We are greatly honoured to receive Chamtrul Rinpoche again to the heart of the Tarset community on his UK tour.
“Without discriminating against anybody based on their sex, race, creed and so forth, I wish them to enjoy excellent peace and harmony. I try to the best of my ability to promote the view, meditation and conduct of non-violence, which is the indispensable source for the spread and enhancement of the inner peace of mind. “
